_# Unit 6: The 5-Step Review Generation Campaign That Tripled Our Client’s Reviews in 30 Days

Now that we have mastered the art of asking and the science of making it easy, it is time to combine these elements into a systematic, proactive campaign. A one-off request for a review is good, but a repeatable campaign is what builds unstoppable momentum. This 5-step framework is a proven method for dramatically increasing your review volume in a short period. It is the same process we have used to help clients triple their review count in as little as 30 days.

The 5-Step Framework

This campaign is designed to be simple, sustainable, and highly effective. It focuses on targeting the right customers at the right time with the right message.

1. Identify & Segment: The foundation of the campaign is a list of your recent, happy customers.
2. Personalize the Ask: A generic blast is ignored. A personal touch gets results.
3. Automate the Follow-Up: Life is busy. A gentle, automated reminder is often necessary.
4. Track & Measure: You need to know what is working and what is not.
5. Amplify & Repeat: Turn your new reviews into marketing assets and repeat the process.

| Step | Key Action |
| :— | :— |
| 1. Identify & Segment | Create a list of all customers from the past 30-60 days. |
| 2. Personalize the Ask | Send a personalized email request to each customer. |
| 3. Automate the Follow-Up | Schedule a single, polite follow-up email to be sent 3-5 days later to those who have not responded. |
| 4. Track & Measure | Use a simple spreadsheet to track who you have contacted and who has left a review. |
| 5. Amplify & Repeat | Share your new positive reviews on social media and start a new list for the next month. |

Step 1: Identify & Segment

Your most likely reviewers are your most recent happy customers. Export a list of all customers you have served in the last 30-60 days. If possible, segment this list. For example, you could create a priority list of customers who have already given you direct positive feedback or who have purchased high-value services.

Step 2: Personalize the Ask

Using the email templates from our Unit 4 lead magnet, send a personalized request to each customer. The key to personalization is to mention something specific about their interaction with your business. For example:

> “Hi [Customer Name], I hope you are enjoying the [Product they purchased].”

This small detail shows that it is not a generic marketing blast and dramatically increases the open and response rate.

Step 3: Automate the Follow-Up

Many customers who are willing to leave a review will simply forget. A single, polite follow-up email is not pushy; it is helpful. Most email marketing platforms allow you to schedule a follow-up to be sent only to those who did not click the link in the first email. The follow-up can be very simple:

> “Hi [Customer Name], just a quick follow-up on my email from last week. If you have a moment, your feedback would be a huge help. [Your Google Review Link]”

Step 4: Track & Measure

Create a simple spreadsheet with the customer’s name, the date you sent the first email, the date you sent the follow-up, and a checkbox for whether they left a review. This allows you to see your success rate and prevents you from asking the same customer for a review multiple times.

Step 5: Amplify & Repeat

When you get a great new review, take a screenshot and share it on your social media channels. Thank the customer publicly (if appropriate). This not only provides great marketing content but also subtly encourages other customers to leave reviews. At the end of the month, start a new list and repeat the process. This consistency is what builds a powerful, long-term reputation.

This 5-step campaign turns review generation from a random activity into a predictable, measurable business process. In our next unit, we will shift our focus from generation to response, and learn how to handle every type of review like a pro.
