New McDonald’s under construction on Rainbow Drive in Rainbow City

RAINBOW CITY — A new McDonald’s is being built on Rainbow Drive. It is going up in front of Rainbow Plaza. Work at the site is already underway.

Rainbow City Mayor Joe Taylor confirmed the project. The site sits along one of the city’s busy shopping areas.

Some details are still unknown. There is no opening date yet. It is not clear how many people the store will hire. It is also not clear if this is a new store or a move from another spot. Building permit and site plan records at Rainbow City Hall should show more.
