As February comes to a close, Gadsden is sending the month off with a bang. This week features the continuation of the spectacular Spring Lantern Festival and a 5K race that honors our local heroes. It’s a perfect blend of cultural celebration and community spirit.
## A Final Weekend of February Fun
The **Spring Lantern Festival at Noccalula Falls** continues to light up the park this weekend, from February 27th to March 1st. If you haven’t had a chance to see the hundreds of stunning, hand-crafted lanterns, this is a great opportunity. The festival also includes live acrobatic performances and train rides, offering a magical experience for all ages.
On Friday, February 28th, lace up your running shoes for the **Etowah Heroes 5K**. This flat and fast course provides a great opportunity to chase a personal best while honoring the heroes of our community. It’s a wonderful way to show your support and get some exercise.
